Matthew J. Urbanski
Financial Advisor/Owner
Matt was born in St. Louis and moved to South Bend while in 1st grade. He graduated from Trinity School at Greenlawn, attended Holy Cross College, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Marketing. Matt joined Healy Financial in 2001, becoming part of the ownership team in 2016.
He enjoys working with young business professionals, academics, attorneys, and business owners. His areas of expertise include: protection in the areas of disability income and life insurance; funding strategies for college, retirement plan rollovers, and other tax-deferred savings programs.
Matt and his wife, Carrie, are the parents of two daughters, Lauren and Elyse. Both children were adopted separately from the Petion-Ville area in Haiti. This has instilled a passion in their family for Haiti as well as international and domestic adoption. Matt frequently speaks with families considering domestic and international adoption.
A graduate of the Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka Program sponsored by the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce, Matt has also served on the board of Home Management Resources, been active with Young Life of Michiana, volunteered for Trinity School at Greenlawn Alumni Association, and coached youth soccer for years.
The Urbanski family are members of St. Joseph Parish in South Bend, where Matt serves on the Haiti Committee, the Christian Action Committee, is a Lector, and has been a Children’s Liturgy Instructor.
In his leisure, Matt enjoys working in the yard, cooking, and entertaining others for meals. He’s also a runner, and while he is not breaking any speed records, he is a regular. He’s run the St. Nick’s Six multiple times, as well as the Indy Mini Marathon and the Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston, SC (yes, the bridge is really long).
